How to create your club's online store (Team Store)
What a Team Store is, why it saves time and money and how to set up your team's.
If you run a club, you know the chaos: collecting sizes over WhatsApp, fronting the money for the order, chasing the families who haven't paid and handing out garments one by one in the changing room. A Team Store gets rid of all that. Here's what it is, how much work it saves you and how your team's is set up.
What a Team Store is
It's a private online store for your club, with its products, its crest and the prices we agree with you. Each player or family goes in with the club code, without creating an account or remembering a password: they see their club's products, choose their size and pay for their own. You don't front anything or handle sizes or payments.
The difference from the classic model is fundamental. In a traditional order, the club acts as the middleman: it collects sizes, gathers the money, pays the full invoice and then hands everything out. That means someone on the committee is acting as bank and courier for weeks. With a club store, you just share a code.
The real problem it solves: the admin, not the price
The worst part of kitting out a team is hardly ever the price. It's the families who don't reply, the money someone fronts out of their own pocket and the size that got too small over the summer.
A Team Store tackles exactly that:
- Zero money handling: each member pays their share when they order. No advances and no outstanding debts.
- Zero size collecting: each family chooses its own. If they get it wrong, it's not on the coordinator.
- Access with the club code: it's your club's store, not an open catalogue. Only people with the code the club hands out can get in, and no account or password is needed: the code is the only key.
- Prices agreed with the club: the terms are settled with you and they're the ones your families see.
- Re-orders all year round: a January signing comes in and orders their shirt whenever they like, without setting up a new order.
What you can sell in it
The store doesn't have to be limited to the match kit. Clubs usually include:
- Match shirt and shorts, home and away kits.
- Tracksuit, training sweatshirt and polo shirt with the crest.
- Socks, bibs and accessories.
- Leisurewear for families and fans, which is often an extra source of income for the club.
That last point is underrated: a sweatshirt with the crest sold to parents and grandparents all year round can pay for part of the sports equipment.
How it's set up
- We talk and agree the terms (the club's products and prices).
- We design the products with your crest and colours. You approve every design before it exists.
- We publish the private store and give you your access code, which the club shares just once in the team group.
- From then on, everyone places their own order and we make it one by one, to order.
No stock, no boxes in the club's storeroom, no leftover sizes at the end of the season.
And if you want to be found: the club directory
As well as the private store, there's a public club directory where your club can appear. It helps anyone looking for your store get there without having to ask. It's optional: if you'd rather the code only circulates in the team group, your club isn't listed in the directory.
What if you'd rather place a single team order?
Some clubs still prefer to place one order for the whole squad. For that there's the spreadsheet: in Design your shirt, “Load the list from a spreadsheet”; in the catalogue, “Load squad list”, at the “Players” step. You download an .xlsx file generated with the sizes of that specific product, fill it in with one row per player (name, number, shirt size and, if needed, shorts and socks sizes) and upload it. Before anything is applied you see a preview. You can only type in the right cells and sizes come from drop-down lists, so it's hard to slip in invalid data. You can also paste the data straight from any spreadsheet. And if the list is in the WhatsApp group, “Paste a list” takes it as it is.
And re-orders: this is where the magic is
The design is saved. When someone needs to replace their kit — because it's torn, lost or the kid has had a growth spurt — they go in and re-order exactly the same model, with the crest and sponsors already in place. Without setting anything up again and without the design “drifting” from the rest of the team.
This matters more than it seems: one of the reasons clubs end up with mismatched kits is that the supplier doesn't keep the design, and February's re-order isn't identical to September's.
What if we're a small club?
It works the same. As there's no minimum order and we make to order, a club store makes sense both for a veterans' team of 14 players and for an academy with ten age groups. In fact, the smaller the club, the less room it has to front money, so the more useful it is.
Lead times are the same as ever
Each order is made to order: 10 to 15 working days of production (5-10 with the Express option), plus 24-48 h shipping in mainland Spain. It's worth telling families to order well ahead of the start of the league, because orders pile up in August and September.
And shipping, which changes the maths here
Shipping to mainland Spain is €7.95 and free from €99.95; to the European Union it's €9.95 and free from €199.95 (the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla have their own rates). In a club order you don't notice it, because in mainland Spain five shirts already get you there. In a Team Store you do: each family pays its own, and an order for one shirt and one pair of shorts doesn't reach it. It's worth telling the team group from day one, and suggesting that anyone ordering a sweatshirt or leisurewear puts it all in the same order.
