Name and number your way, and readable from the stands
Colour, font, outline, size and position: everything you can change about the name and number, how to check they can be read and how to add your whole team in no time.
On sublimated shirts, the name and number are included in the price, which you see on the website before you pay. And you can set them up your way: colour, font, outline, size and position. Here's how to do it, how to check they can be read and how to add the whole team in no time.
Where to change them
In Design your shirt they're in step 3, under Name and number, with a summary and the “Change” button. Under “More options” you have the club font, a different one for the number, the different colours and the size and position.
In the catalogue customiser, “Name and number” is collapsed with its summary. And when you get to it, the view switches to the back by itself.
A colour for each thing
In “Design your shirt” you have “Different colours for the name, the number and the shorts”. That way, the name, the number on the back, the number on the chest and the number on the shorts each have their own colour. The chest number is optional, and it's only in “Design your shirt”.
In the catalogue, the option is “A different colour for the number”.
The colours come from a range of 18, or you choose any colour you like. They are white, black, grey, silver, gold, yellow, orange, red, maroon, pink, purple, navy, blue, sky blue, turquoise, green, dark green and brown. Note: gold and silver don't exist as sublimation inks, and they come out as an ochre and a grey.
The font: the EZ one, 14 more or your club's
You have the EZ font and 14 more, and they're all printed exactly as they look. You can also use your club's own, in .ttf, .otf or .woff. In the catalogue you upload it with “Upload my club's font”, and in “Design your shirt”, from “More options”.
The website checks that it has all the letters and numbers your players need. If any are missing, like an Ñ, an accent or a number, it tells you which player and offers you “Back to the EZ font”. If the file can't be read, it tells you straight away.
“A different font for the number” changes only the number: the EZ one, one of the 14 or your own file (.ttf or .otf). In “Design your shirt” it changes all three (back, chest and shorts), and in the catalogue, the one on the back and the one on the shorts. If your file is missing numbers, you have “Use the EZ font for the number”.
Outline, size and position
In both customisers you can add an outline around the letters, with its own colour and thickness. In the catalogue, “Outline around the letters” comes in thin, medium or thick.
The size and position can also be changed, if you like. In the catalogue, “Size and position of the name and number” has − and +, arrows, “Centre” and “Drag”, with their limits. And if you're not convinced, “Put them back as they were”.
In “Design your shirt”, on your phone, you drag the name and number with your finger, each one separately.
Readable from the stands
Both customisers measure the contrast of the name and number against the shirt and, if they can't be read, they warn you. In “Design your shirt”, the warning tells you what's hard to read and on what colour, with “Add an outline” and “Change to white” or “Change to black”. In the catalogue, “Can the name and number be read?” gives you “Add an outline” and “Change to black/white”.
Before you order, take a close look with the “View in detail” magnifier and with “See each player's jersey”.
The whole team, in no time
First comes the team name, which is required. In “Design your shirt” it's in step 3, under Your team. In the catalogue, if it's missing, “Add to cart” is greyed out and, when you tap it, it takes you there.
Then come the players, with their name, number and size. You don't need to type them in one by one:
- “Paste a list”, with no header row, in both customisers. In “Design your shirt” it works straight from WhatsApp or a note: “GARCÍA 7 M”, “7 García” or “Ruiz; 12; XL”. In the catalogue, if the size is missing, it puts M.
- “Number them 1, 2, 3…”, also in both, to number the players in order.
- A spreadsheet, in both. We explain it in loading the team from a spreadsheet.
In “Design your shirt” you have “Load the list from a spreadsheet”. There you choose “Download template”, “Upload file (.xlsx or .csv)” or paste from the spreadsheet, with headers. The columns depend on the garments you've chosen, and you see a preview before applying it.
In the catalogue, “Load squad list” gives you an .xlsx with that product's sizes, in a drop-down. The preview shows warnings for each row and, when you apply it, it replaces the list you had. You can also paste from the spreadsheet.
If you're between two sizes, take the bigger one: you'll find it in the size guide.
Now you know how to set up the name and number your way, and make sure they can be read. Go into “Design your shirt” or choose a model from the catalogue, and paste your list. If you have any questions, message us on WhatsApp.
