Buying custom football kits online: how to get it right
A checklist for club boards: what to check before buying your custom kit online so it arrives just as you imagined it.

Buying custom football kits online is the most convenient way to dress your team, but it pays to know what to look for so there are no surprises. This is the checklist we'd use ourselves. Ask any supplier these questions — us included.
1. Make sure you see the design before paying
The most important thing: being able to see your jersey in real time with your colours, crest, names and numbers. In our customiser you see it from the front, the back and the sleeves before buying. If the process is sending an email and waiting for someone to draw something up, you'll lose a week on every change.
2. Is there a minimum order?
It's the first filter. Many manufacturers require 15, 20 or 25 units: that means you can't order a sample before committing, and if a signing arrives in January you're left stranded. Ask whether you can order a single unit. Here there's no minimum.
3. What do sponsors really cost?
A very tight per-jersey price can hide a cost for every printed logo. With three sponsors and 20 players, that's 60 prints somebody pays for. Ask for the price with every logo in place, not for the plain jersey. At EZ, crest and sponsors are included.
4. Print quality: sublimation
Make sure the customisation is sublimated (bonded into the fabric) and not a vinyl that peels off. Sublimation allows gradients and full patterns and withstands a whole season of washing. We compare them in sublimation vs printing.
5. Clear sizing
Check the size guide with measurements in cm and make sure there's proper kids' sizing, not just adult. For a team, take sizes calmly: we explain how in how to take sizes without mistakes.
6. Lead times and shipping
Since it's made on demand, allow 10-15 working days of production (5-10 on express), plus 24-48h shipping in mainland Spain. What matters is that the clock runs from when you approve the design, not from when you asked for a quote. Always check the estimated date before confirming.
7. Upload your crest and logos properly
For them to come out sharp, upload the crest and sponsors in good resolution; ideally a PNG with a transparent background. If they come with a background, you can remove it right inside the customiser.
8. Who fronts the money
The point that hurts the most. In the classic model, the club pays everything upfront and then chases the families. Ask whether they offer a private club store: each family enters, picks their size and pays their share.
9. What happens if something goes wrong
Two concrete questions: what warranty the product carries (in Spain the legal conformity warranty is 3 years) and whether you'll be able to reorder a single jersey six months later with the same design. A supplier that doesn't keep your design forces you to redo it for one signing.
And one more: where it's made
Manufacturing in Spain means shorter lead times, being able to fix a mistake without waiting six weeks for a container, and talking to the people who actually make your jersey.
