Design your shirt: the complete guide, step by step
How to get started, what's in each step, how you see it in 3D, the shorts, the away kit and everything that's included. The reference guide to “Design your shirt”, from the first screen to the basket.
With Design your shirt you create your club's kit right on the website: you choose a design, add your colours, your crest and your players, and see it in 3D before you pay. This is the complete guide, from the first screen to the basket. If you're looking for something specific, jump to its section.
How to get started
When you go in, you choose how to start:
- Pro Clubs, at the top, in green: more than 120 designs for the 26/27 season, each one as a home, away and third kit. We tell you about them in this article.
- “In my team's colours”, the quickest: tap 2 or 3 colours (the first is the shirt's) and we show you all the designs already painted in them.
- “See the designs”: more than 200, to choose the design first and then add your colours. It has tabs (Featured, By type, From scratch and Basics) and a “Surprise me” button.
- “Upload my design on the template”: if you've already made it on our template, we put it together on the pattern for your size, free.
- “Design with AI”, below: the AI suggests the print from a photo or an idea. We tell you how to ask for it.
And if you come back another day, “+ Open a saved design” shows you yours.
Step 1 · Design
In “Your colours” you decide the colours. If you like the design's colours, press “Keep these colours →”; if you tap 2 or 3 of your own, the button changes to “Next: your crest →”. To get it right you have:
- “Not sure? Combinations that work”, with ready-made combinations.
- “More colours” and “Another exact shade? Pick it here”, for a specific shade.
- “Eyedropper”, which copies a colour from the design.
- “Take them from your crest” and “Pick the colours from a photo”.
- “Clear colours”, to start again.
If the design has a tone-on-tone background pattern (scales, diamonds, damask…), the “Tonal pattern” option appears, with No pattern · Subtle · Bold · In a colour.
In “Fine-tune it” you adjust the rest: the colour of each part, the thickness, the textures, the sleeves, the collar, the back (plain or following the design) and the EZ logo. The collar automatically takes the colour of the fabric around the neckline, and “Match the design” keeps it on automatic. The EZ logo is included, on the chest: you choose its colour (the ones that wouldn't be readable are crossed out) or move it to the sleeve with “Move it to the right sleeve”. Everything about colours, in this article.
Step 2 · Crest and logos
- The crest: press “Upload my crest” and the background is removed automatically (if you want it with a background, “With background”; if something is left over, “Background” or “+holes”). Best as a transparent PNG or a vector file. No crest? “No crest? Create one here”: choose the shape, the colours, the initials or the name, the year and an icon, then “Use this crest”.
- The logos: free and unlimited, on the chest, the back or the sleeves. You drag them into place and, when you tap them, their frame appears: from the corners you change the size and with the circle you rotate them. In their row you have “Centre”, “Colour” (a single colour) and “↑ Bring forward” / “↓ Send back”. How to spread them out, in this article.
- More things, in cards: straight or arched text, champion stars and flags, shapes (hoops, bands, chevrons, stripes…) and a logo in a single colour. We tell you about it in this article.
Here you also see the pattern: the flat pieces exactly as they're cut, with the edge of each one in grey (it isn't printed). On the sleeve, the dotted line marks the recommended area: the sleeve is sewn into a tube and anything you put outside it may end up under the arm.
Step 3 · Your team and players
It comes in three small steps, each with its own ✓:
- Your team: the club name, which is required.
- Your players: each one's name, number and size. With “Paste a list” the one from WhatsApp works as it is (“GARCÍA 7 M”, “7 García”…); you also have “Number them 1, 2, 3…”, “See each player's jersey” and the spreadsheet.
- Name and number: a summary (“EZ font · White · no outline”) and “Change”, for the font (the EZ one, 14 more or your club's), the colour and the outline. Under “More options”: a different font for the number, different colours (name, number on the back, number on the chest and number on the shorts), and the size and position. If the name or number is hard to read on the shirt, it warns you and offers to add an outline or switch them to white or black. All of it, in this article.
Always in view: the 3D and the bar
You see the shirt in 3D while you design, front and back, and every change shows up instantly. With the “View in detail” magnifier you zoom in, and “See the pieces · how it's made” shows you the flat pieces.
At the bottom you always have the bar with the price, “← Back” and “Next →”; at the last step, “Add to cart” (if the team name is missing, it takes you there). If you make a mistake, the ↶ ↷ arrows undo and redo it. On your phone, the shirt stays at the top and the pattern shows one big piece at a time: we explain it in designing on your phone.
Before the basket: the 3D confirmation
When you add it, the kit appears in full-screen 3D, with the order total. Press “I confirm the design · Add to basket” or “Back to editing”. It's on purpose: that way nobody buys something they haven't seen put together. The design is the one that gets made, because the website and the workshop draw it with the same engine; the colour may vary slightly when it goes onto fabric.
The shorts, the socks and the packs
In “Complete your kit”, with “+ Custom shorts”, you choose what they look like with one tap: Same · Colours reversed · Another background colour · Plain. If they come out plain white or plain black, the website gives you the basic shorts in that colour, which look the same and are cheaper. With “Design them separately”, “Design your shorts” opens, with the shirt alongside so you can copy its colours with the “Eyedropper”; “← Back to the shirt” takes you back to it just as it was. And if what you're sure about is the shorts, start in Design your shorts.
The shorts and socks sizes go in their card, with the shirt size already filled in; “Same sizes as the shirt” matches them, and “No shorts” or “No socks” are for anyone who doesn't want them. With the shirt, they're at pack price: matching shorts, €3.55; basic shorts, €1.00; socks, €2.00. You see it applied before you add anything.
The away and third kits
When you add the home kit, “Go to basket and pay →” appears and, below it, “Shall we make your away kit?”. The crest, the logos, the players with their sizes and the font are kept: you just choose another design or the same one in other colours. Then, the third kit. We tell you about it in this article.
Save, share and compare
Above the shirt you have “Save”, “Share” and “Compare”. You can save up to 3 designs in your account, with the crest, the logos and the player list with their sizes (without an account, only in that browser). You share a link so the club can give its opinion (the crest and logos aren't included in it) and you compare versions. You'll find it in this article.
What's included
The sublimated shirt costs €20.95, with the crest, unlimited sponsors, the name and number, and also texts, stars, flags and shapes. There's no minimum order. It's made one by one in Spain, in DryTech fabric, in 10-15 working days (5-10 with Express), and we send it to you or you pick it up free at our workshop.
